Gordon McArthur
CEO
Gordon McArthur founded Beeks in 2010 out of a deep-seated frustration with the inadequacies of existing low-latency trading infrastructure. Over the course of his 20-year career in software and IT solutions, Gordon has not only witnessed but actively driven the evolution of the industry. His strategic acumen and leadership have propelled Beeks from a modest three-person startup to its current iteration.
Gordon has held pivotal roles at industry giant, IBM. His tenure at IBM is marked by his contributions to financial services and the industrial sector. Beginning with a focus on SME businesses, Gordon quickly ascended to overseeing IBM’s largest globally integrated accounts in the Oil and Gas sector.
Gordon holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Risk Management and a Master’s in Business Information Management from Glasgow Caledonian University. His academic pursuits complement his practical experience, equipping him with a holistic understanding of the intricate interplay between risk, business, and information management.
As a thought leader in cloud infrastructure for the capital markets space, Gordon McArthur continues to shape the narrative of low-latency trading, constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Fraser McDonald
CFO
Fraser McDonald has over 19 years’ experience in finance, management and consulting roles. Having commenced his finance career and management accountancy training (CIMA) with National Australia Group, Fraser has gaianed experience working for global organisations such as Royal BAM group, Lactalis McLelland and Serco Group plc across different industries including Banking, Manufacturing and Construction. Fraser has been in the Technology Sector since 2009, where has held senior roles including Commercial Manager and Head of Finance at ACCESS LLP (subsid of Serco Group plc). Fraser joined Beeks on a consultancy basis in March 2016 to support the company through the AIM admission process, before being appointed on a permanent basis as Group Financial Controller in March 2017. And then Chief Financial Officer in 2018. Fraser has a BA (Hons) in Finance from the University of Strathclyde, and PgDip in Information Technology from the University of Paisley.
