Sopheon's Accolade solution provides unique, fully-integrated coverage for the entire innovation management and new product development lifecycle, including strategic innovation planning, roadmapping, idea and concept development, process and project management, portfolio management and resource planning. It also supports the creation, commercialisation and replacement of products. Accolade enables users to synchronise product ideation, planning and innovation process execution. Sopheon's solutions have been implemented in more than 50 countries, and it has operating bases in the US, the UK and the Netherlands, with distribution, implementation and support channels worldwide.

Investment Summary

Sopheon has developed a state-of-the-art platform allowing Enterprise customers to manage and monitor their pipelines of innovation. On the back of some major reference client wins, Sopheon's Accolade product is seeing material traction. It is in the early stages of transitioning Accolade to a cloud platform. Sopheon has evolved its management team to drive focus on the transition to cloud-native solutions and also to grow the revenue bias towards larger SaaS contracts. While the latter will have an impact on revenue recognition and the former will see higher investment and running costs, we think that the foundations the group is building will stand it in good stead with improved revenue visibility. The likelihood of M&A to support its organic growth holds further promise.
