European political vol


The Euro fell 1% against a stronger dollar as the European Parliament shifted rightwards and Macron called a snap election in France.

Asian currency volatility returned as the Yen weakened again and the JGB 10-year yield pushed back above 1%.

This week, we have US inflation data and a rate decision, and Japan’s rate decision will be on Friday.

The UK remains relatively becalmed, albeit the General Election campaign has become more uncertain following Sunak’s D-Day blunder and the well-timed arrival on stage of Farage and Reform.
